Waiting for Alain « Thread Started on Jun 1, 2006, 7:53am »
The usually bustling hangar was empty today, it's sleek durasteel walls well polished, floor swept, and ships lined up neatly in place. Of course, as it was noon, all the Jedi and workers had gone to lunch. Hinata found the peace quite welcoming, as opposed to the cafeteria, and used this time to compose herself, taking a deep breath and reaching out to the force.
The Jedi Master paced along the line of speeders, trying to find a smaller model. She wasn't planning to take Alain far, simply to the lower levels. They provided a good training spot - not boring, like the training rooms, yet not the least bit dangerous. She couldn't afford letting Alain injure himself in a serious way - they had a mission in a few weeks!
Finally, in a corner of the large, rectangular hangar, Hinata found a small swoop, painted silver with distasteful purple stripes. Whoever painted it could do with some lessons..

It had been more than just a trifle intriguing when Master Riya had asked him to come to the hangar, so Alain did not linger idly behind. Whatever the reason for her sudden summoning, it was clearly something of his interest, seeing he had felt increasingly empty lately, in dire need of an activity. Training solo with the lightsabre did not suffice to his demanding persona. Perhaps would he now be granted a meaningful session.
Having never found the hangars more than mildly interesting, he entered the magnificent chamber with the air of someone invading hostile territory. Never had he been able to quite comprehend how a person could compare the skills of the Force with that of a cruiser. With the Force, it was entirely up to the human to control and channel it the correct way. If in a thingypit, however, the machine did the worse of the work.
That is not to say he did not respect the pilots, quite the opposite. As he thought piloting risk-taking, there was a certain amount of honour involved. Then again, one could combine machine and Force, to get a powerful weapon. The full extent of this, Alain had not yet grasped.Derived from all workers, his soft footsteps earned an eerie silence, and as he advanced, his eyes swept the surroundings, searching for his Master. She was located in a corner, next to the most shrieking swoop Alain had ever let his eyes upon. Blinking to get the colours of his mind, he stopped directly behind her, saying nothing.
OoC: Right, I've had a bit of trouble with my muse lately; pardon for the very late reply.
