Why can Padawans immediatly become masters? I thought is went Initiate-Padawan-Jedi-Master, then when they were a master, they were automatically on the council...
Correct me if I'm wrong, that's the impression I've always gotten from the movies/books. In Ep. III Annakin was just a regular Jedi, not a Padawan anymore, but they wouldn't make him a master. *shrugs*...

It goes Initiate-Padawan- Jedi Knight - Jedi master. A Master is not automatically on the council, and not everyone reaches the rank of Master. Some spend their entire lives as a Knight, never reaching the rank of Master. Others become a Master, yet never became a Member of the Council. An example of this is Qui-Gon Jinn from Episode 1. He was a Master, yet he actually refused being on the Council.
So technically, Padawans can't become Masters without first going through the step of being a Knight.

Right. I just didn't feel like putting in a billion ranks.. It could get a bit messy ^^

I understand not wanting a million ranks, I just thought the Jedi Knights were kinda important. Their the one's that take on the Padawans most of the time afterall...

As there is already such a topic, I dare post my very own question here. Shan't there be any further information on the Force itself? I cannot se it mentioned anywhere (disclaimer: I was never any good at searching).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_%28Star_Wars%29#DefinitionThere is a lot of information about the Force itself. Wikipedia is amazing >.> But if that's an overload, here's KBRG's mini decription of the Force: The Force is sort of like... what fuels the Jedi. It's what gives them their powers. There are certian people who can sense and manipulate the Force to perform various actions, stuff anywhere from empathy to telekensis and enhanced speed or strength. There's the Light and Dark side. The Light side is the side that Jedi use, through training, discipline, and other precepts. The Dark side is what the Sith and bad Jedi use. They use their anger and carnal desires to gain great power easily.

Thank you. (:
And, eh, how about a c-box? Makes conversation and questions much easier. And the entertaining value of such a thing can turn enjoyable.

I don't mind c-boxes and so on, but it's not my call. Fallen has the final authority in that area.

If you guys want a cbox, I'll get one ^^ Check the footers.
As for the Jedi Knight thing, I'd really rather not. Masters and Knights are almost the same thing, as a Knight becomes a Master when he takes on a padawan.. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not right. Obi-Wan wasn't a Master until the 3rd movie, and Qui-Gon was Never a master cause he was too much of a reble, but they both had Padawans. Their Padawans obviously had to call them master, but the other Jedi did not...
((*Feels like a super-nerd*))

Hm.. OK, you've got a point. I think Qui-Gon was a master though.. Just not a Council Member because of his rule-breaking awesomeness.. xD For this game, I'm going to change it just a little, just another form of bribery

A Jedi Knight may become a Master after successfully training a Padawan learner to Knight status. Though this is the most common manner, it is not always the case. If the council sees that a Jedi Knight has become more powerful and has gained more knowledge and discipline in the Force, then they can be nominated by one or more council members to take the trials again. But this time, the trials will be much harder. It should also be said that some Jedi Masters, like Qui-Gon Jinn, never become members of the Council, as it is not a requirement to be a Master. The rank can also be achieved through the performance of extraordinary deeds or self-proclamation, though the latter is extremely rare.
Boo-ya.
Ok, over it. Well, on RPGC, KBRG said she thinks we have enough boards, and.. well, I've gotta agree. Until we get more members, that is. If you want, you can add a few more of your favorites, I don't think she'd mind. XD
